TRO-VENSITE safety B protect is sterile, non-pyrogenic, a-toxic and shows the following characteristics:
- With silicone septum to prevent blood spillage
- Special 3 facet back point bevel of the needle for easy and atraumatic insertion
- Two movable wings for safe fixation to the skin
- PUR catheter with completely embedded radiopaque stripes
- Colour coded wings and hub
- With hydrophobic membrane, for preventing blood spillage from the catheter
- Special self-activating safety clip which covers the needle tip immediately after the needle has been removed from the catheter
- The safety mechanism cannot be bypassed but requires no change in application technique
- User protection from needle-stick injuries and inadvertent infection
- Safety clip prevents needle from being reused
